Motorsport Bearings

Rod Ends (Rose Joints) found on many suspension systems to allow the arm or linkage to move freely on its axis whilst preventing unwanted play in the joint (like a rubber bush would do). These are a ball contained in a housing with a thread so it can be inserted, adjusted and replaced. Spherical Bearings are a ball in a plain housing which need to be inserted into a cup or outer housing and are usually held in place by a retaining circlip or by being pressed (staked) into position. Spherical bearings act much like a rod end but cannot be adjusted themselves.
